Privacy policy

This policy explains how Connectivity.cx Ltd ("we") uses personal data for Velocity and this website. It covers UK GDPR. For complaints you can contact the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. Please talk to us first at support@connectivity.cx.

1. Who we are

Connectivity.cx Ltd provides Velocity. For data about people who work at a dealership (logins, support emails, the request-info form on this site) we are the controller. For data about that dealership's customers (leads, call recordings, SMS) we are the processor: the dealership is the controller.

2. Data we collect

From this website. If you send the request-info form we collect your name, role, dealership, email, phone, number of sites, and whatever you write in the message. We use that only to reply.

From Velocity users. Name, work email, login method (including Google or Microsoft if you use those), role, and which dealerships you can see. We also keep technical logs (IP address, browser, timestamps) to keep the service secure.

From your leads, as processor. Name, phone number, vehicle of interest, lead source (for example website or AutoTrader), call times, whether the call connected, SMS content, and recordings if you have recording on. That data is used to place the call, send the follow-up text, and show your team the board and reports.

3. Why we use it

  • To provide Velocity to your organisation (contract).
  • To answer an enquiry from this website (legitimate interests, or steps toward a contract).
  • To keep the service secure and to debug faults (legitimate interests).
  • To meet a legal obligation, if one applies.

4. Who we share it with

Telephony and SMS go through our communications providers. Hosting is in the EU/UK. We do not sell personal data. Staff at Connectivity.cx may see customer data when you ask for support or when we are investigating abuse or a fault.

5. How long we keep it

Request-info messages from this website are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted unless they have become part of a live customer file. Operator accounts last for as long as your organisation uses Velocity. Lead, call, and message data is kept for the period agreed with your organisation so you can run reports and handle complaints. You can ask us to delete a particular person's data; we will do that as processor on your instruction, unless we must keep a record of the request.

6. Your rights

If we are the controller (your own account, or a form you sent us), you can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of the data you provided. Email support@connectivity.cx. If we hold your data because you enquired about a car, contact the dealership you spoke to. They are the controller.

7. International transfers

If a supplier stores data outside the UK, we use a lawful transfer tool (such as the UK addendum to the EU standard contractual clauses) or an adequacy decision.

8. Children

Velocity is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

9. Changes

We will post updates on this page. The date at the top is the current version.
